Who We Are
cityLAB Coalition is a student-led organization dedicated to expanding cityLAB’s vision of just and equitable urban futures into collaborative, hands-on action.
Mission Statement
Our goal is to empower students to take an active role in shaping more just, inclusive, and sustainable cities by bridging design, research, and community action. cityLAB Coalition seeks to create a platform where students across disciplines collaborate, learn, and co-create with communities within and beyond Los Angeles.
Leadership Team
Leads
Facilitate meetings and have the ability to make constitutional changes. Act as cityLAB Liaisons.
External Affairs
In charge of partner outreach and managing connections with outside organizations (larger UCLA student body/LA community).
Manufacturing Lead
Delegate and oversee design production for events or projects (including graphic design or physical fabrication).
Marketing Leads
Manage cityLAB Coalition social media accounts and document events.
Secretary
Record-keeper and communicator between the executive board and members.
Treasurer
Handle all financial transactions.
Volunteer Coordinator
Manage Volunteer roles and responsibilities.
How to Join

Membership requirements
i. Attend the monthly general body meetings (1 absence/quarter)
ii. Must attend/volunteer/contribute to at least 1 event per quarter
iii. Must fulfill the requirements above for two quarters
iv. After all of these requirements are fulfilled, candidates shall request membership from the Secretary for recordkeeping
v. Membership privileges:
1. Field trips
2. Potential for mentorship/educational opportunities
3. Ability to elect leaders and vote on amendments to the constitution
4. Ability to disclose membership to cityLAB Coalition on professional documentation (cover letters, resumes, etc.)

Meetings are to occur once a month. Officer corps meetings happen bi-weekly.
